Angels Fall now available in stores!

A few months ago Author Baron R. Birtcher and I roamed the streets of Tempe AZ to take head shot pictures for his latest book "Angels Fall".

Baron began pursuing his dream to write in 1996 with a move from California to the Big Island of Hawaii (lucky guy). Since his move, he has written and published three mystery novels, Roadhouse Blues, Ruby Tuesday, and his most recent book, Angels Fall; the third critically acclaimed novel in his Mike Travis series.

You can catch Baron on his nationwide book tour; check out his website for location and times.
Here are a few of the shots we took......you'll have to grab a copy to see which one made it to the news stands.

Justin + Kerrin Engagement Session

Last weekend I had the chance to take Justin and Kerrin's engagement photos; they are getting married in just a few short months. After spending just a few short hours with them, I could see how much in love they truly are!
We had a great time wandering around Santa Margarita in the open fields where Kerrin used to ride her horses. All it took was a hop over a few fences and a few thorns in our toes to get some of these shots. Here are a few of my favorites.....

Oooooooklahoma where the wind comes...

About a month ago, I was asked to fly out to Oklahoma to take Kelsey's senior pictures. The first thing that came to mind is, this is going to be a fun challenge!
I flew in last Friday night, took pictures Saturday morning and left early Sunday morning. On top of the travel challenge, I had no idea where to go to take pictures but knew that the day would unfold as it should in a beautiful, open place like Oklahoma!
Just as I had suspected, it was a blast! Kelsey and I had a fun time crawling through old barns, driving to old rodeo stadiums and getting chased off of a farmers property! (my first time!) :)
Here are a few of the shots that came from the wild Oklahoma adventure and of a girl who will hopefully see the magic of who she is!

Cousins

I have been blessed to know my cousins as true friends. Throughout my lifetime, family traditions and time together have been important. While we were younger, the time together may have been forced but as we have aged, our relationships have become chosen.
A couple of weeks ago, I (Allegra) had the opportunity to do a quick photo session with Karen's daughter Claire, and her cousin Christian. It was so special for me to be behind the camera and watching these little lives interact. As I watched, I couldn't help but see myself as a child and the times I had with my cousins. These two will have many years ahead of them to develop a bond, to share memories, and to become friends that cannot be found in anyone else.
Although it was a quick hour, I enjoyed the sincere laughter that the two grandma's, two mom's, and two children involved in the mini photo shoot brought about. It was a new experience to try and shoot two children with fascinations and minds all of their own but one that I hope captured some memories that their families will cherish forever.
