Life. It's a lot of work and often we become swallowed by it. We fall into routines that often bypass quality time. With this being said, we've been busy. Working often 7 days a week and more than the average 9 hour days, we have taken little luxury to enjoy where we are today. We realized this today as the date reminded us that our son is now 4 months old to the day. How can four months feel like an eternity and feel like a brief minute all at the same time?
Today we took our passion for photography and focused it on a moment in the life of our family. How blessed we are!

Meet Penelope

There are no words to describe the birth of a child, let alone the birth of a first child. Suddenly your emotions and self proclaimed inadequacies speak louder than words ever could. Your nerves are shot and you are caught in between feeling as though you can do nothing right and an overwhelming sense of protective overdrive. There is nothing quite like that of a new life that can catapult you into redefining your own.

Penelope is a six pound precious bundle of baby girl that has changed the lives of her parents, Billy & Melissa. She is perfection personified. Her gentle coos that are still being deciphered by her parents make her mother's heart melt. Her total dependency makes her father stand tall in honor of the greatest gift he's ever been given. Billy & Melissa stare at her in adoration as she stretches her long limbs and slowly opens her eyes to see the world she's now in.
There is nothing quite like that of new life.

Princess Katelyn

The magic of a little girl's world unfolds under layers of pink and fairy tales. It's a magic that cannot be matched by anything else. It's the way she dreams, the way she plays, the way she pretends, and the things she says. Daddy's little girl and mommy's best friend, a daughter can own the hearts of parents and steal the hearts of onlookers.

Have you ever watched a child? Uninhibited and abounding in pure innocence.
We had the chance to look in on a day in the life of Katelyn. While all little girls come to know exactly what a camera is and by osmosis seem to know how to pose, it is a gift to watch a little girl play and close out the world around her. We put chalk in the tiny hands of five year old Katelyn and watched as we no longer seemed to exist.

She became immersed in her art of play. She drew, she spun (as every girl loves to do in skirts and dresses that allow her to), and she laughed undisturbed by our prying eye.
